A panel discussion between multidisciplinary creatives whose combined skill-base extends across design, performance, light art, exhibition design, architecture, music, curation and fine art.

The panel will reflect upon the long-term effects of creating temporary immersive spaces by unpacking the panelists first-hand experiences in constructing atmosphere and grappling with architecture in art.

Ideas such as the illusion of permanence, the function of the explicitly semi-permanent and the concept of liminality will be dealt with as the panel looks at art-world contexts such as exhibitions, festivals, residencies and performance.

Through considering the impermanence of certain contexts, panelists will consider the extent to which ephemeral spaces have the agility to actually move with the times, implicate a viewer within a creative concept and evoke a liminal experience, as well as how such spaces can maintain sustainable practices and foster community.
