Everything has changed.

Work environments are shifting. Commercial properties are vacant. Schools and institutions are subject to constant disruption. And we ourselves are thinking, feeling and behaving in whole new ways.

In the face of this new ‘normal’—where uncertainty is the only certainty—what does the future hold for our cities?

MPavilion, Dexus and The City of Melbourne invite you to attend ‘New ways of working: After 9 to 5, what next?’—a meeting of representatives from diverse city constituencies who will explore the critical challenges and opportunities that face Melbourne in 2021 and beyond.

Hosted by Andrew Mackenzie, Director of URO publications and City Lab, this discussion considers how the pandemic is restricting workers and students from returning to the CBD, while asking: how are things changing? What opportunities lie ahead? And what do we need from urban infrastructure to thrive in these new conditions?
