What role does art play in shaping the conversation around climate change & sustainability?

How can artists consider our actions and the complexities of our changing landscape, and how can they make these changes perceptible, visceral and confronting?

In conversation with Bronwyn Johnson (Executive Director of Climarte), a panel of five contemporary Australian artists (Vicki Couzens, Jen Rae, Debbie Symons, Jasmine Targett & Katie West) discuss how their practices engage with ecological and environmental concerns, in order to inform and inspire action.

Artists involved offer ways of reconnecting with our Earth and grieving what has been lost, whilst proposing new perspectives of our planet and ways to reconsider our role within it, with the overarching message one of hope, resilience and survival.

This event has been developed as part of the M_Curators, an MPavilion program engaging young makers, doers and programmers. This initiative is made possible by our presenting partner Bloomberg Philanthropies.
