MMEETS PRACTICING FUTURES TOGETHER

Can coming together to ‘practice’ or verbalise future narratives be a way to bring new alternatives to bear? Invited speakers are asked to prepare a 3-5 minute piece of speculative fiction considering potential futures. Attendees are also encouraged to bring a short piece to share as we participate in a broader discussion and attempt to radicalise and reclaim our relationship to the future.

While architects frequently privilege the ego and the artefact, how can the professional embed a new culture of care into their practice? What might an ethic which seeks to infuse identity, dignity and equity into architectural work look like?

A workshop aiming to get participants to reimagine waste with an opportunity to repurpose textile waste into a fun usable product, keeping the materials in circulation for longer.
