Swedish – New Zealand artist & maker Ulla-Britta Westergren is a lover of craftsmanship in all forms. With a degree in Fine Art, Jewellery and Corpus from Konstfack, Stockholm. Ulla-Britta’s devotion lies in breathing second life into discarded objects: making beauty and functionality anew.
Recent Melbourne, Wellington and Stockholm based collaborations in costume, film, TV, apparel, music and theater have informed her passion for repurposing and experimenting with form and materials.
Textiles & circular fashion form the heart of Ulla-Britta’s contribution to sustainability, design and art practice. She wants to expand the conversation around repair, the life expectancy of materials and the values we uphold in our beloved objects.
