Currently exploring online modes of collaboration with the Isolation Improvisation Collective, Sophie is a flautist dedicated to expanding the sonic potential of her instrument. After completing her studies at QLD Conservatorium of Music, Sophie moved to Melbourne for further study in 2011. A fan of local music, Sophie has appeared on recordings with Big Strong Brute, Vilde and Scott Spark. An emerging improviser, Sophie has performed at Melbourne’s premier improvisation institution the Make It Up Club multiple times, but she can also be heard in chamber and orchestral settings around Melbourne.
