SLAB
SLAB is the organisation run by and for landscape architecture students at the Royal Melbourne University of Technology. With a rotating leadership team every few years this organisation has a strong history of using exhibitions and events to celebrate landscape architecture, and connect design research to practice. These events have included the ROLE Symposium, Mapping: An Exhibition, and the 2019 AILA Conference Next Gen sub-festival (with SOLA and AILA Fresh VIC). As a micro-practice of sorts, SLAB has the organisation, structure and funding that provides a platform for emerging ideas, catalysing design into action for young professionals.
