Sally Sherwen

Dr Sally Sherwen is an Australian animal welfare and behavioural scientist, who holds a PhD in animal welfare science and is passionate about driving visionary change in organisations working at the interface between people and animals.

Dr Sherwen is currently the Director of Wildlife Conservation and Science at Zoos Victoria, one of the world’s leading zoo-based conservation organisations. In her role at Zoos Victoria Dr Sherwen leads a team responsible for everything from threatened species, community conservation, learning for education, sustainability and international programs, as well as animal welfare and behaviour.
