Reuben Daamen
Reuben is a multi-disciplinary artist, writer and composer. As a sound artist, he uses a range of field recordings, traversing from sounds of industrial machinery, to crunching autumn leaves. Shaping and moulding them in Ableton he produces soundscapes that often echo a sense of, what can be better described as in the language of German, ‘Sehnsucht’. He has recently collaborated in 2020 Melbourne Fringe Festival’s, ‘Seagulls…flying through times of plague’, making film, visual art and music that speaks about migration and freedom.
