As founding director of WBa Peter Williams AM provides strategic design leadership and ‘hands-on’ design involvement in WBa’s projects. Peter was a member of the Victorian Heritage Council 2002-2008, a position in which design ability and insight into heritage was fully exercised. Peter Australian Tapestry Workshop Board in 2003, he was elected Chair of the Australian Tapestry Workshop in 2008 and retained this position until 2016. Peter instigated the Tapestry Design Prize for Architects in 2014, an initiative that has rekindled interest in tapestry within the architectural community.
