Namila Benson

Namila Benson is a Melanesian broadcaster and arts journalist who works across multiple public and media platforms. She skilfully guides complex conversations exploring race, culture, gender and decolonisation through a creative lens. Focusing on black body politics and diaspora/settler identity, she brings critical nuance, depth and breadth to a wide range of conversations. In 2019, Namila authored the memoir of First Nations Elder, ‘Jack Charles: Born-Again Blakfella’. She is the presenter and co-producer of ABC Radio National’s weekly national visual arts program, The Art Show.
