Maylene is a singer, songwriter, mentor, writer, activist and community worker. From Melbourne, Victoria on Kulin lands, Maylene speaks and writes to inspire conversations about identity and vulnerability. Through her parents, Maylene is part of the Kamilaroi, Wiradjuri, Worimi, Ngunnawal, Kuku Djungan, Nyawaygi, Gangalidda and Garawa nations. Kulin is home.
Maylene is a proud activist for Aboriginal self-determination and loudly calls for Federal Government reform over the treatment of First Nations people in Australia.
