Khanh Nguyen honed his skills at award-winning establishments in Sydney including Cirrus Dining, Mr Wong, Bentley, Becasse, Red Lantern and noma (Sydney) before moving to Melbourne in 2018 to helm SUNDA _. The modern Southeast Asian restaurant soon became a rising star on Melbourne’s food scene, making the country’s best restaurant lists and earning a hat for two consecutive years in The Good Food Guide. SUNDA _ was also named one of Australia’s Hot 50 Restaurants on the World’s 50 Best Discoveries List in 2019. Khanh will be opening a second restaurant, ARU, as part of the SUNDA _ restaurant group in 2021.
