Jacqui Shelton

Jacqui Shelton is an artist particularly interested in the complications of performance and presence, and how voice, text, and image can collaborate or undermine one another. Through her writing, film-making, photography and performance-based research processes, she explores how communication is embodied and manifests as physical expression. She has exhibited throughout Australia, including presenting exhibitions and performance works at Gertrude Contemporary, West Space, Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, Tarrawarra Museum, MADA Faculty Gallery, Metro Arts, Screen Space, and with Channels Festival and Liquid Architecture. She is a teaches photography and media courses at Monash University and RMIT University.
