Jackson was drawn to the hair industry by the creativity, the community, and freedom of expression. As hair is intrinsically linked to our identity and personality, the idea that he could help an individual express theirs while scratching the creative itch and make a living seemed like the perfect career.

Jackson cut his teeth at Shibui salon in South Yarra, drawn to their emphasis on easy to manage low-maintenance hair. Specialising as a hair cutter he learnt to sculpt hair that complements face shapes and bone structure, while encouraging and emphasising hair texture. Jackson’s aesthetic aires towards uncomplicated styles that soften the face and require minimal fuss.
