H’Raani Pilbeam

H’Raani Pilbeam is a Fashion Design student in the Bachelor of Fashion (Design) Program at RMIT University School of Fashion and Textiles. With a deeply rooted practice within sustainability, her practise seeks to question traditional fashion outcomes which has led to the development stages of her graduate collection of accessories and garments being worn and experienced within an Augmented Reality space.

H’Raani’s previous work focuses heavily on using up-cycled fabrications, destined for landfill. Her 2019 Spring/Summer Collection (2.7) aimed to create conversation around the unfathomable waste created during our beach season in Australia. This collection featured at the RMIT student runway in 2019 and won the 2019 Emily McPherson Award.
