Gerard Snowdon

Gerard Snowdon is a designer and landscape architect. With a focus on how science can inform design decision making, Gerard believes in the power of aesthetics to ring in challenging ideas about environment and sustainability. His design research covers urban rewilding, productive planting for city spaces, and keeping embodied energy in construction materials. As our living quarters get smaller, public spaces play a bigger part in our lives and to our relationships with each other. In our highly modified global environment, Gerard works to create new ways of seeing and relating to this wider world.
