Su san Cohn

Su san Cohn is an artist with multiple personalities – jeweller, craftsperson, designer, curator, writer, performer.
Living in central Melbourne, she has been making work for over 35 years exhibiting extensively in Australia and internationally. Using a variety of media from jewellery to installation, photography and video, Cohn brings a conceptual approach to her work together with a keen interest in contemporary culture.
Cohn has been sole director of Workshop 3000 since 1984. Her research based and collaborative practice has involved working with different skilled artists, filmmakers, photographers, scientists and industrialists to channel new ways of working and technologies into her ideas. She has received many awards, including being
inducted into the Design Institute of Australia Hall of Fame, and the Australia Council 2017 Visual Artist Award.
Cohn is represented by Anna Schwartz Gallery, Melbourne.
