Ciara is a Melbourne based artist, living and working on Bunurong land. She works with textiles, creating materials that are in close dialogue with narratives and memories from childhood. These works seek to reference Ancient methods of womxn’s work particularly from Ireland where her parents migrated from. She is interested in the repetitious actions and feminist ideologies that reference a protected space for womxn and the superstitious beliefs, many of which have been passed on to her from her mother.
