Christy Bryar is a practising architect who lives in Mallacoota and is assisting her community with various recovery projects while navigating the rebuild of her own home and office after losing them in the Black Summer fires. She is the director of Christy Bryar Architects as well as working with Richard Stampton Architects, she has taught design in Landscape Architecture and Urban Design at RMIT University with an interest in broadening the role of the architect.
