Chrissy Zemura

The journey began in London where Chrissy was studying finance at university and working part time as a makeup artist, however when she was done with makeup she found herself assisting the hairdresser on the job. Her migration to Australia is what pushed her to pursue a career in hairdressing as there weren’t many hairdressers who could look after Afro Hair.
Chrissy was trained at Valonz under the direction of Renya Xydis and Colour Director Stuart Bane. There she was mentored to harness her creativity and nourish each client’s unique needs to ultimately bring their hair goals to fruition.
Like a true third culture kid, Chrissy draws inspiration from the nature of Zimbabwe, city vibes of London and soft waves of Australia, she uses all these elements to guide her vision. Her passion in understanding all hair textures has led her to advocate for Inclusive Hairdressing which encourages and empowers hairdressers to master all hair textures.
Her celebrity clientele include Victoria Secret Sabah Koh, Melissa Mcarthy and Isabelle Cornish.
