Katie Sfetkidis
Katie Sfetkidis is a Melbourne based artist whose practice is interested in the intersection of feminism and the institution. Her art is politically charged and doesn’t simply imitate life but makes it happen, as her run for Lord Mayor of Melbourne in 2018 reveals. In 2020 Katie was appointed Emissary for the Queen Victoria Women’s Centre, a role that will see a year-long archival project documenting the experiences of womxn and gender diverse people from across Victoria during the COVID-19 pandemic. The archive is made up of a series of conversations between Sfetkidis and people from varied social and cultural backgrounds
