Hope Mathumbu

Hope Mathumbu is a Queer Black South African born woman, living and working on the sovereign lands of the Kulin Nation since 2003. After completing a BA in International Studies, Masters in Public Health and subsequently working in the sector for five years, Hope went back to uni and spent the pandemic year of 2020 completing her final year of a nursing degree. A Jill of many trades, her writing has been published in the Anthology Growing Up African in Australia. Her work in public health, radio, arts and various other community development sectors is driven by her belief in the Black African humanist philosophy of Ubuntu.
